Do Positive Affirmations Work?

An affirmation is when someone states out loud what they could become, however I believe people don’t use affirmations the way they were meant to be used. I have heard many different variations of affirmations and have realized for me, just saying something I would like to become does not have a big impact, so I decided to write this article to show people different ways of intensifying your daily affirmations:

Use Questions: Your brain works like a computer, when you ask yourself questions, your brain will search to find the answer. The problem is that most people ask the wrong questions, why not ask questions that will make you more successful. Instead of asking things such as “why do bad things always happen to me” because your brain will find the answer to that, ask “why am I so successful”. Start to ask questions that will lead you into your dreams such as “why am I healthy”, or “why am I a rich” your brain will find the answer and boost your self esteem.

Use Tony Robbins’ Incantations: Instead of just stating what you would like such as I am rich, or I am healthy, say it with enthusiasm, say it with emphasism so that you actually feel it. Yell out what you would like to have happen and feel it to the highest level. This will automatically change the state you are in to change you into the state of achieving your dreams. State it with pure confidence and certainty that this is who you are.

Be Realistic: I hate to use the term realistic but what I mean by realistic is to state something like “every day I am getting more and more happy” or “every day I am getting more and more wealthy” when you state something like this you do not feel like your lieing to yourself, you feel like this is actually true and it begins to manifest.

The reason old positive affirmations do not work well is because they do not change the state you are in, they do not make you feel the way you’d feel if you were successful, and their is a sense that you are lieing to yourself. Use these tools to enhance your daily affirmations to catapult you into the feelings of success.

Extreme Confidence

One thing I’ve learned over the last couple of years, is that to become, have, and do anything in this world, one of the main traits you must acquire is confidence. Confidence is one of those traits that is so hard to define, and so hard to understand, yet so easy to see who has it and who doesn’t.

Confidence is described as the state of being certain, however how does someone portray certainty? This may shock you, but I’ve learned that the two ways of being a confident person are through life experiences, or, believe it or not, FAKING it. When you trick yourself into pretending you are all that you can be and more, you slowly begin to develop into that person. Shakespeare once quoted “All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players” meaning that we are actors and have the ability to be whoever we choose to be. Most of us become someone depending on the circumstances and situations on the outside and let that develop who we will be in the future, however the successful people, they do the opposite, they decide who they want to be and begin to act as that person until they become that person. So, confidence comes from acting as if you are whatever you would like to be. Think about it this way, if your goal is to achieve a million dollars, would you walk, talk, and act the way you do now if you have acquired that goal, or would you walk, talk, and act differently. Confidence, is being the person that you would be if you have already acquired your goal. If you consider yourself a guy/girl that isn’t attractive and at the moment you walk with your head down, and your hands in your pocket. Confidence, is walking the way you’d walk as if you were a more attractive person, a person who would walk as if everyone is looking at you smiling as you look back at them, a person who takes up space in your world. This is the key to confidence, become the person you want to be by simply acting as that person. If you have a fear of doing something, and you are saying to yourself, “if only I was more confident”, remember their is no such thing, confidence is acting as if you’ve already done it that doing it again would be easy. When I mean act, I don’t mean spend the money as if you were a millionaire, I mean act as if you are playing a role in a movie, become the exact person you want to be, make it a habbit and you will be a confident person.

Being an Alpha-Male

An alpha-male is someone who portrays confidence and charisma. He is the person who everyone wants to get to know and talk to. He seems as if he is in charge of his life and draws people to him like a magnet. An alpha male is seen as the leader of the group he is with. Alpha-males usually get along best with beta-males which are people who envy the alpha-males confidence, and let the alpha-male be a leader. An example of an alpha-male would be someone like Brad Pitt, or even Barack Obama. If you watch either one of these two, they tend to draw in crowds partially because they’re famous, but also because of the way they move. I mean think about it, George Bush wasn’t an alpha male but he was famous so its only a little bit to do with fame. So, what do alpha-males have in common?

Poker Face – They show no feelings towards people, it takes a lot to impress them. They act as if they have done it all. They know that showing any sign of emotion gives the people they’re with control of the conversation. They show no emotion, yet they smile a lot as if everything is always good.
Talk Slow – They are not in rush to get their point across, if at all, they could care less what people think.
Walk Slow -They act as if they’re in charge of time, and time does not control they’re lives. They never act as if they are in a hurry, and always act as if things will turn out their way.
Never Give A Straight Answer – when asked questions, they usually respond by not telling the person exactly what they wanted to hear, but only a hint of how they feel keeping their lives mysterious.
Proper Posture – They walk and talk looking straight, but not in a creepy way. They do not walk with their head down and their hands in their pockets, nor do they walk with their heads up constantly looking around. They walk around as if they take up space in the world, and they talk to people with eye contact, but not necessarily starring at the person.
Value Thier Life – They always act as if their life is more important than everyone else, they act as if your in their world, and they are not in your world.
Talk with purpose and from the stomach – They do not sound like wussies, they sound as if what they have to say really matters, with a little higher energy than the person they are talking to. They don’t ramble on when they can get their point across with 4 words. They talk direct, and to the point.

Expand Your Comfort Zone

Ahh, the comfort zone. The comfort zone is something that is not necessarily physical, but something that everyone can feel. The comfort zone differs from person to person, however research has shown that people that are more successful in their lives (meaning they’ve achieved more of what they want), have got a bigger comfort zone than the average person. So, how did they expand their comfort zone?

Picture yourself with a huge ring of energy around you, everything inside this ring of energy is what you are comfortable doing, and everything outside this energy is what you’re uncomfortable doing, however some things are more uncomfortable then others meaning there further away from the ring, and some things are less uncomfortable. The more you do the things on the outside of this ring, the bigger your ring gets. However the problem is, for a lot of people, including myself, the fact of even doing something that you are uncomfortable doing gets you nervous. So, how do you change this?

Think about all of the reasons you feel uncomfortable, because 95% of those reasons you fear, will not happen. When you think of the worst situation, chances are, it will not happen. Our mind always over-exaggerates every negative experience. Think back to how many times you felt nervous and scared to do something because in your head it seemed like the most nerve wrecking thing, but when you did it, it was nothing like you pictured it. For example, in high school, maybe you were scared to do a presentation only to realize when you actually do the presentation it was not as scary as you thought it would be.

Be Positive & Optimistic: Take life lightly, and have the mindset that if anything negative happens, who cares you can still move forward with your life. However, if anything good happens be extremely happy, excited and positive about that. Most people I realize are more scared about what the negative circumstance could be, than what the positive circumstance could be. When you get to a point that the positive circumstance far exceeds the negative circumstance, then you will feel confident in getting outside your comfort zone.

Think of the end result: After you have seen what could, and probably won’t happen if you fail, than you become optimistic and your success feels more real and more exciting than your failures, dwell upon the end result. Expect the end result. For example, if you plan on going for your dream job, or creating your dream business but you plan on going outside your comfort zone to do this, since you are currently working somewhere else, dwell upon the end result, expect that your dream job is all that you have worked up for it to be. Expect that it is going to feel like pure fun and not work. Don’t dwell upon going for the interview, or how much work you have to put into your new business, picture yourself actually working at the place, or owning the business that you’ve always wanted.

Visualize the whole end result: (visualize to the point your visualization feels more real than your fears): Read the virtualization article and use that method to visualize your success of get outside your comfort zone whatever it may be.

When you have a clear vivid picture of the end result, and have complete faith that that end result will be your reality, you will have enough confidence to step outside your comfort zone. Successful people have created a habit of doing this, their success always seems more exciting to them than the negative aspects of failing, and thus they always see how wonderful life could be which makes them confident in the decisions they make, and as a result their life turns out the way they picture it. They have eliminated any worry in their life by making anything to be worried about, not a big deal, but anything to be excited about, a huge deal. Your dreams should ALWAYS outweigh your fears.

King Solomon – His successes, and downfalls:

Who is King Solomon?

According to history:

He was the most successful king bringing into his economy over $8,000,000.00 for over 40 years. (The equivalent overall would equal around 1 trillion dollars of his income in today’s money.)
He created 3000 proverbs (wise sayings), around 1005 songs, amazing temples, and luxurious palaces
People from all over the world came to him for words of wisdom from his successes.

In fear of receiving the throne at age 12 after his father had passed away, King Solomon asked God for one thing, and one thing only, wisdom. King Solomon quoted the following:

“Give Thy servant an understanding heart to judge Thy people and to know good and evil.”1 Kings 3:9

So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, I will do what you have asked…”

As a result of the Kings wisdom, he achieved great success in all areas of his life. People from all over the world came to him for wisdom when they came in contact with a problem they had. People would offer him land, and great riches worth over hundreds of millions of dollars for advice (according to motivational speaker T Harv Eker, an entrepreneur is someone who solves problems like King Solomon). So King Solomon was an entrepreneur without knowing he was an entrepreneur which made him extremely wealthy.

One of the King’s greatest stories was when two women came to him because they did not know who a man’s baby was who they had both slept with. So the King stated to “cut the baby in two” so that the two of them could have an equal share. One of the women cried out to King Solomon and told him to give the baby to the other girl since she could not see the baby suffer. The King then said that the baby is clearly that woman’s because no mother would want to see her kid suffer.

However, King Solomon’s power, led him to a downfall. The reason he experienced a downfall was because he never followed the most important wisdom he received from God. Despite King Solomon’s riches and wisdom, he never achieved true fulfillment and happiness. The reason being, is that he never surrendered himself to a higher power, he never had constant contact with god/higher power/universe/divine. Therefore the Lord said to Solomon, “Since this has been your practice and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes that I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you and will give it to your servant. Yet for the sake of David your father I will not do it in your days, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son. However, I will not tear away the entire kingdom, but I will give one tribe to your son, for the sake of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem that I have chosen.”

The message here is :

Have Faith: in order for you to be fully successful, you cannot be greedy and do it yourself, you need to surrender yourself to a higher power. When doing this, miraculous things begin to happen, miracles begin to happen because you are leaving your problems to a higher power, and you are not trying to control the outer world. When you try to control your outer circumstances, you are acting on ego, and things do not go the way you want them to go which leads you into a negative spiral. When having a connection with a higher power, you begin to live from your true higher self, you find your true passion and you begin to attract through the law of attraction everything you need to fulfill your passion. In order to have this connection with a higher power, you need to clear all negativity from your subconscious mind (There are many techniques you can use to clear negativity from your subconscious such as EFT and Meditation).

Problems -> Solution -> Service -> Profit

If there were no problems in the world, no one would be considered successful. Think about it, a long time ago, before the light bulb was invented, Thomas Edison had found a problem. That problem was that you needed many things to light up your house. You needed many candles which were pretty expensive, you needed fire which could burn things and probably caused many injuries, and you needed to put unattended lit candles all over your house. Today, all we have is a bunch of light bulbs stuck in the ceiling that turn on with a flick of a switch. My point here is that if Thomas Edison did not see a problem that existed in society, the lightbulb would not have been invented. Thomas Edison once quoted that he “will make electricity so cheap that only the rich will burn candles” which states that he found a problem that candles were expensive. So, basically anything that ever gets invented or becomes profitable, first exists as a problem, so instead of pondering on how bad the problem is, why not find the solution and sell that solution to others so they can use it in their life. It can even be something as small as becoming extremely fit and healthy. If you were overweight, or too skinny and became extremely fit and healthy, why not share your knowledge with everyone else for a small price so that they can also learn how to get fit and healthy. Think about it, when your overweight or too skinny, the problem is that you feel that you’re not healthy, so then you find a solution from that problem which is to find a way to become healthy, and then you serve others that solution while making a small profit from it. It is a win-win situation for everyone, you are serving the world and you are making a living. So, remember problems are actually a good thing, the more you serve people with the solution of your problems, the more you help the world, and the more money you make.

Success and 2012

When you read this, you may be wondering “what does 2012 have to do with success”? Well, you’ve probably heard of people saying that the world will end on “2012” according to the Ancient Mayan’s Calendar, however, other more optimistic and positive people (such as myself) believe that 2012 will be a brand new beginning, a new conscious awakening. I strongly believe that 2012 will be a new conscious awakening, as the world is already beginning to shift and awaken as we are learning that we are attracting everything into our life from our sub-conscious mind. Think about it, lately we’ve been discovering more and more how powerful humans actually are. I read recently that 2012 will be a time where the Law of Attraction will work at full force; imagine how amazing that will be. Imagine people being able to attract pure joy and happiness into their lives at the speed they wish to attract it. Imagine the world awakening to this law and everyone working in sync with each other as we all help each other to achieve our dreams. Now, you can choose to believe that the world will end on 2012 in a chaotic way, or you can choose to believe that the old world will end, but a new beginning will emerge where we are more connected to our higher power and are fully capable of taking advantage of the law of attraction. However, just remember we attract everything we believe. So, I personally believe the world will be chaotic for those who believe it is going to be chaotic, and the world will be a place of joy and celebration for those who believe that 2012 is going to be a global transformation of conscious awareness! After all, The Mayans believe the word end means the finishing point of a particular age.

I’ve been researching for years and I know that if you keep visiting this blog, I will help get you to where you want in life, keep you inspired and ultimately, motivated to start taking the right types of action that leads you toward your successful lifestyle. Like working out, you need to make it a habit to learn about success, to learn how to achieve the lifestyle you want. For example, if you’re trying to lose 20 lbs of fat to get the body you want, do you think you can do that in one day? It’s impossible to do in a day. You can only achieve that goal if you make a habit of doing the right exercises, eating the right foods, and having the right mindset. Same thing goes with success. The only way for you to start getting what you want in your life, you have to make it a habit of learning the right principles, being constantly inspired and motivated, and learning to take the right types of actions. Then, and only then, will you begin to achieve the successes you want in life. That’s what this website is here for you to do. It’s here for you so that you can use it to create a new habit of learning about success so you can take what you’ve learned and apply it. If you learn about success in a day, guess what, you will do some stuff and then you will think it doesn’t work, but again that’s like working out for a day expecting to lose 20 lbs.

Richard Branson: One Happy Entrepreneur!

The other day I was reading up on Richard Branson, and it came to me that Richard Branson is smiling in almost every picture that he’s taken. If you go to Google images right now and search Richard Branson, there will be literally like 3 pictures or less on every page that he isn’t either smirking or smiling in. From this, I figured that Richard Branson without even knowing it uses the law of attraction to his advantage in such a huge way. Richard Branson is the happiest entrepreneur I have ever seen and that is one of the reasons he is so successful. Richard considers himself one of the luckiest guys in the world, and therefore he attracts to him more happiness, success, and more reasons to be one of the luckiest guys in the world. Richard Branson is known for running businesses in his own way, he does not have board meetings, and he does not have any headquarters. However, Richard does consider himself to be all about the people and all about the employees which makes him so successful. Energy is contagious and so Richard Branson’s positivity spreads like wildfire to his employees which makes them love working for his company Virgin and creates huge success for the company. Imagine working for Richard in any of his businesses for a second, imagine a boss that claims to have never been angry, that is all about keeping you positive as one of his employees, and now imagine how good you would actually feel to work for him. I don’t know about you, but if I were working for Sir Richard Branson, I would definitely want to work hard to please my boss, rather than feeling like I have to work hard. So, from this I have found that for success in business, you must not only be positive, but you must spread your positivity to your employees and make them feel like extremely happy for working for you. No one wants to work for someone that is constantly angry and mad; everyone wants to work for someone that is fun, exciting, and happy to be around. On top of it all, I am sure that when you do what you love to do, like Richard Branson is, (thus he considers himself one of the luckiest men in the world) it becomes so much easier to keep a positive mind set rather than running a business that you really have no interest in.
